August

Hmm, it’s really hot this week and I don’t have air conditioning in my house. It broke a few years ago and since my dad grew up in Thailand, he doesn’t understand the concept of what it’s like to be hot, as in, he never feels hot even in ridiculous temperatures. And it really doesn’t bug me except for a couple of days in August when I’m tiiiired and well, just hot. This summer hasn’t been too bad at all, though.

Anyways, I’m having random flashbacks to August/September at school when my roommate and I would get ready to go out; we’d put our makeup and do our hair but our building didn’t have air conditioning so we’d end up sweating after like 10 minutes and just put our hair in messy buns because we were so sticky. And it would be gross but the hilarity of the situation made it okay.

Today was ridiculous because we took class pictures and these kids are hysterical and if I learned anything from this job, I once again realized that people can be more amazing than you think they are. Also I have the same size hands & feet as the 11 year olds in my class.

To top it off, some guy stopped me in the middle of Port Authority to, I guess hit on me, and he gave me his business card. Frankly, I’m positive the only reason he approached me was because I’m short. He was pretty short. Actually, really short. After he walked away I had a lot of scenarios in my head of me like ripping the business card and saying something rude, but of course all I did was take it and walk away and then threw it out later. I also thought (1) This guy’s a pedophile because I look like I’m 16 and (2) What did he really expect me to do with this business card? Like wtf? Why would I ever call him?

Also I’m going back and forth on how many days I should stay when I visit school. I’m trying to get a bunch of opinions because it’s a habit that I always trust other people’s opinions more than my own judgment.
